Our family went on a Carnival cruise out of Jacksonville and stayed at the Hampton Inn Downtown the night before the cruise. The location gives you great access to the water taxis over to the Landing for a great dinner and shopping. The rides on the taxis are beautiful at night. My family enjoyed it greatly. The next morning we had a great breakfast before going to the port. We accidentally laft some clothes in our closet but 7 days later after the cruise, I called the GM and he found our clothes and FedEx'd them to us that very day. Great rates, great staff, great room, great location, great breakfast, great service. That was our experience and we will be back for a Jaguars game later this year.
