Not quite first class

We visited the day ABC was there for lunch, so perhaps the hotel was more frazzled than usual. First impression of the lobby was grand, but something about the place was cold and also tired. The room was nothing special. The heating/cooling system was hard to get right--it went to extremes. There was no comfortable chair--only one office-like chair for the desk, so only that one place at all to sit besides the bed. Worst of all, the lock to our door didn't work well. We struggled with it upon entry, and when we got back to the room after dinner, it ceased to work at all. We had to get an engineer to fix it at 10 o'clock at night, when all we wanted was to go in and relax. Also, the bathroom was tiny, tiny. On the plus side, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The engineer himself was great. He saw to it that we had a voucher for a free drink while he fixed our lock. Tthe location cannot be beat. Also, the breakfast menu was extremely imaginative and the breakfast food was delicious. Just add a chair and watch the maintenance!
