This was our second stay at this hotel. We were pleasantly surprised at the luxury during our first experience, when we booked blindly on travel website. Being a pet friendly hotel, we chose it again for our annual Monterey trip, brining along our Great Dane. The property is only one block from the walking/bliking trail along the beach and through the middle of Pacific Grove. You could walk for all your dining, shopping and entertainment experiences. We even walked back to our room late at night and felt safe. Even our pet was honored with a surprise upon our arrival. We highly reccomend this hotel for business, pleasure and romance. Fireplaces and expensive looking bathroom, makes you feel spoiled. The property is quiet, and clerks are eager to serve. The continental breakfast has a large variety of foods, and trays are provided if you would like to take to your room and dine.
Only negative, was there were no flat grounds in the property for a pet to potty. It is all planter boxes, which is harder for an older large dog to get up to. That is only a problem at night, as during the day, there is the beach walk less than a block away. And although there is a daily parking fee, it is safe and nice to have, so well worth it.
