Nice hotel, good price, but noisy

We loved our room at Laurel Point and it was in a very convenient location since we arrived on the Victoria Clipper from Seattle. We were able to walk to the hotel in just a few minutes along the waterfront. The room had a modern feel which I really liked, and it seemed clean and was comfortable. The bed was pretty good. The only thing was was that it was noisy. We could hear word for word conversations in the next room and the noise from the hallway was incredible with doors opening and closing, people walking and talking, etc. Our room had a door in it that could open up to the next room if people had booked both rooms, so I don't know if that contributed to the noise between the rooms, but it was the worst I've ever had in a hotel. The view was great and it was fun seeing the boats and seaplanes go by. That was all noisy, too, but it was during the day so it was fine. There was a little balcony to step out on and enjoy the view and air. The staff was excellent and stored our luggage for us all day after we checked out. Everyone was quick, efficient, and friendly. So, though we did like the hotel, the price, and the location, we would not likely stay there again due to the interior noise.
