For the travelers who stayed at this property before: You definitely have to go back! The hotel has been totally transformed. New decor, fur in the walls, crystal, velvet. The risotto at the restaurant is a must, and the breakfast buffet is one of the best I never had. Their new bar is one of the nicest I saw with the fireplaces and those private sections that your can close with a velvet curtain. Perfect romance. It's like a boutique hotel with extensive service.
When we were there, the hotel was hosting a big reception in what they call "La Ruelle" with movie producers and actors. They had even "recreated" a room in the passage close to the lobby! The staff is amazing, the concierge service is 5 stars. Location is perfect to discover the old Montreal as well as the downtown area. As it is connected to a subway station (underneath the convention center) you can travel the whole city for less than *$!
Definitely the most exciting hotel that Montreal can offer.
ps: Take the valet parking If you come with your car: For only few dollars more, you won't have to bother with parking at the lower 9th level, and you will benefit of a 24hrs in-and-out privileges instead of paying everytime you leave.
