The Marshall House in Savannah is great in all aspects of a vacation. It's right in the heart of the historical district. Parking is right next door if you don't wish to valet. There are parks one block in two directions. You can walk to any of the historical locations. A quarter of a mile from the river front. Shopping, Eating, or just chillin' by the riverfront is all so easy. The staff at the hotel are great. Very helpful and they always greeted us when we arrived back from our adventures. The rooms were nice and clean. The bathrooms were neat with the old tubes. The place is old so be on the look out for slanted floors and stairs. A great feel. The breakfast they had was nice as well. Finally, the reason I chose the Marshall House was not it's rates nor it's location. It was the ghost that are said to be haunting the hotel. I didn't see or hear anything but on our last morning my adult sister just finished getting a shower and her deodorant was placed on the flat cabinet above the sink, As she tells it a good five minutes after the deodorant drops to the floor missing the sink underneath the cabinet and falling a good 2 feet from bottom of the sink. Paranormal or just unexplained it was pretty darn cool.
