My wife and I took a weekend trip for our anniversary (younger couple 27-30) and couldn't be more satisfied with our decision to stay at the Brown. The staff were extremly accomidating to every request that we had. Neal, the maître d’ for the English Grill restaraunt located in the hotel, made sure that our anniversary evening was a very personal and intimate experience. The deluxe room that we chose was extremly comfortable, but most people fail to realize that the hotel was built in the 1800's, so the rooms are not the current standard sizes. The king size bed was extreamly comfortable and bathroom was laided with beautiful marble floors and granite countertops. The next visit that we make to The Brown, I will definatly ask for a corner room facing downtown Louisville again.
The hotel is located a short 8 min walk to Live on 4th street, and is surrounded by a multitude of eateries and restaraunts. Personally recommend BBC (micro brew accross the street), Sicilian Pizza, and the Mediterranean Deli a 1/2 block away.....Had a great time !!!!
