NOT IMPRESSED - Find somewhere else

Just returned, stayed 8/11 thru 8/17/09. I paid for an ocean view room, and my room's view was OBSCURED by two tres, thus no view. (Room # 2044) Also, constant noise like an AC noise was coninuously heard while sitting on the SMALL balcony. Even when with AC off, the noise was constant. I can hear this sound in the inner city any time of day or night. Had to wait over 1 1/2 hours for our room, and then had to call to find out where our bags were 15 minutes after in the room. I heard other people waited 3 + hours and 5+ hours to get into their room. The food was NOT CLOSE to World Class. I live in New Orleans, and our food is excellent at almost any restaurant. Do NOT call a buffet of deviled eggs, tomato slices with cream cheese, frozen hash brown patties, tart pineapple slices, watermelon, cantelope, papaya, boxed cereal "market vegetables" which is nothing more than the frozen blends of cauliflower, broccoli, and carrots, steamed collard greens, white rice,saffron rice, rice and peas - " WORLD CLASS FOOD" !!! No kiwi or star fruit. No avacados, no berries of any kind. I had stayed at Hedonism before, and food was fabulous and fresh. Do not expect shrimp at the Lido. they had some kind of small generic white steamed fish. As for the Timber House, my friends ordered the Potato skins 2 days in a row and was told they were out of potatoes. The last two days we ordered hamburgers, and we were told they were out of beef, but we could have chicken patties. The lamb chops were overcooked.
