Renovation Badly Needed

This hotel is in a great location..across the street from a private-access beach and within walking distance of casinos and shopping, yet quiet and peaceful. However, the room was disappointing. The poor vacuuming left debris around the edges of the walls. The walls were dirty, including one spot where plaster had been knocked off the edge of the wall, probably by a suitcase. The patio needed swept of cobwebs and bird poo. The kitchen was poorly supplied...not even any kitchen towels, just a mostly used roll of paper towels. There were no serving bows, the drink glasses were tiny and there were no wine glasses. The closed, old, musty smell was overwhelming when first entered. A good airing and a large bottle of heavy duty fabric Febreze resolved most of that problem. I did decide to stay because it was quiet and because of the location, but I won't go back or recommend it to anyone unless I hear that they've renovated...and maybe hired new (or more) help.
