Online travel website had a sale at $* a night which included the valet parking charge, and the location was perfect, right by easy access to and from I-10 and I-95. The Jacksonville Landing was close, a block down the street.
Room was clean and nice, good bathroom and quality amenities soap, shampoo, lotion, bathtowels. Hot water was fine unlike some places that have a problem. Staff was very courteous and attentive. The chambermaid was helpful and was even shy to take a tip for helping. We even got a free paper when we asked for one as we were leaving after checkout. My roommate used the fitness center and it seemed adequate for both cardio and strength training.
Minor negatives: The construction of the doors and/or walls let hallway noise into the room which wasn't a problem while I was there, but I could imagine it would've been if we were on a very busy and loud floor. The in-room coffee maker and free coffee were hidden in a cabinet, so we didn't have coffee in-room until the 2nd morning when we found it on accident! There are not enough easily accessible electric outlets because there should at least be one on the desk and one by the beds for computers and phone charging. There was only one fairly thin bathrobe in the room, not a big deal since I don't use the hotel bathrobe, but the lower quality stood out in relation to the class of the hotel.
A very good value for the price I got the room for. I would definitely stay here again.
