Not thrilled with our stay

The hotel itself is in a nice area. It's very close to the outlet mall and it is a good place to be because it is halfway between many places a tourist would typically go to. My check in experience wasn't great. I'm used to more upbeat people behind the counter when I check in. The guy didn't even tell me what room I was in. He handed me the keys and told me one level down in the elevator. I think that was the longest sentence he said to me during the check in process. The shower in the bathroom was awful. The floor was constantly flooded even with just jumping in the shower to rise off after going to the beach. I realized that if I put the hand towels on the floor at the corners of the tub, the towels helped soak up the water. The breakfast buffet was above average. The staff in the breakfast area was also really good. I didn't care for the fact that you had to go to the front desk everyday to get breakfast tickets for the next day. The refrigerator and microwave in the room were very convenient. I've stayed in better hotels in the Pismo area. I'll be paying a little bit more next time for better service and accommodations.
