This Inn was totally lacking in charm. The room was bleak and monotonic; the beds looked tired and worn. There was no air conditioning, and a noisy window fan, the only means of cooling, cycled on and off all night long. Simple ammenities like bath soap are dispensed in liquid form in very small amounts from strange wall-mounted containers, which made bathing or showering extremely laborious.
The Inn is extremely preoccupied with rules and regulations. I had to individually initial a series of written regulations when I checked in, indicating that I understood each of them. The same regulations and more are posted in the room, with written threats of significant monetary penalties and even a warning that certain matters will be turned over to the local authorities. Rules and regulations have their place, but the heavy-handed manner in which this Inn deals with them is very guest-unfriendly. Even the checkout time is strange, 10:00 AM.
On checking out, we noticed that a complimentary breakfast was offered in the Lobby. However, no mention was made of this when we checked in, so we were unable to take advantage of it.
All in all, as we walked around Telluride we saw that there were many other accomodation choices that would have been far better.
