When we first drove up to the hotel, I was worried. After a terrible experience in Lima at the Airport Ramada, this didn't look good. Well It Was Great! The hotel is on a one way street, not at all that appealing out front. Once inside, the atrium, wood work, and our room was very nice and comfortable! Add to that the staff was great, the food and dessert (try the fried ice cream) there at the hotel was excellent. It is just up the hill (a 5 minute walk) from the big open air market where you can buy anything, somethings we would never buy, but a must to walk through. It is a 15 minute walk down to the Plaza De Armas (the main plaza in Cusco) where you can catch the bus to Purvor (6 Solis each way) to catch the train to Mach Picchu. There are many churches you want to take a look at inside, especially the one at the Plaza Francisco (just 5 to 8 minutes away from the hotel). They didn't allow cameras, but do make it in to look at them. Just made the trip right!
