It was helpful to understand, prior to booking, that this a reasonably-priced, historic hotel in the wilderness! Don't expect all the modern conveniences (TV, internet, phones, AC) and you'll be thrilled with the lovely architecture, beautiful setting, great service, clean rooms & super quiet evenings. Our room did not include a private bath but the shared baths were large & clean with no wait & plenty of hot water - we did have a sink in our room. We were very pleased with the staff - friendly, knowledgeable. It's location in the Park is not optimal, but very close to the Mariposa Grove & not a bad drive to Glacier Point or Yosemite Valley. The pool was cool but clean & felt wonderful at the end hot, dusty afternoons. Dinner at the hotel was tasty & well prepared - It was lovely to eat out on the porch.
