This resort has the best staff I have encountered. It is also incredibly clean everywhere. The rooms are nice, basic rooms that you might expect at a 3 star hotel.
The only reason not to go back again to this resort is the food. It is horrible- not just all inclusive bad, but actually bad. You can eat at the sister resort next door, which we did, and the buffet is good, but gets a little old. When reading reviews, remember, some travelers may have booked upgraded rooms and/or time share trades. We noticed some had different colored wristbands, and for them, the food seemed better. For the average intenet travel booker, this resort is worth the money because rooms are clean and comfortable and staff is EXCELLENT! You may find yourself eating at the sister resort a lot or going out to dinner in town. (50 peso cab ride)
It really is a shame that the food was so bad, becuase we LOVED everything else about the resort. It is a very cozy boutique hotel (n don't expect mega resort- go to nueva vallarta for that) If you want to relax and kick back, this is the place for you.
This is definitely not for you if you are looking for a good party/nightlife, as it is very calm and relaxed, which we loved. The beach vendors are only a problem if you let them be, and are unavoidable in P.V. (gotta make a living somehow).
We enjoyed the family resort next door, and seeing many Mexicans on vacation. Cancun felt like an extension of the US, but P.V. is all Mexixo, and that was really nice for us. It was nice to see families interaction and then escape to the calm of our adults only resort!
