This hotel has a modern chic flare while still maintaining the integrity of the the colonial architecture. I spent a week in Merida out of which I stayed in Piedra de Agua for 5 days. I recomend requesting a room that does not face the main street if you like to sleep in. It is after all, in the heart of downtown and the noise level can be a nuisance. The hotel is definately for couples or adults without children there are no activities for kids except for a pool. On the last night we had dinner there only to regret that we didn't eat there more often their chef is OUTSTANDING! It's location is prime and in walking distance to most all of the tourist attractions. I would definately recomend this hotel and I would stay there again when I return to Merida!
