First of all, their web site is very misleading. The yacht has been gone for at least 4 years but still appears on the website. The "state of the art" welcome lounge at the airport is just a lime green room with a few small sofas in it where they offer you room tempature bottled water while you wait for your transfer to the hotel.
There were no daily activities the entire week we were there. They appeared on the daily schedule but never happened. Everytime we inquired when an activity was going to begin we were told that the Activities Director was not there.
Cigarette butts littered the beach, you had better get your towel early because they run out and it takes a long time for them to get restocked.
They would run out of things in the resturants and on the buffet. Things like hamburger buns and English muffins. My hamburger was served on regular bread--which I hate at home, much less at a "5 star" resort. They ran out of potato skins, but had potatoes for hash browns, which was weird. They ran out of pizza one night.
We had our anniversary dinner in the french resturant. The food was excellent. They brought us a cake for dessert which we asked to have sent to our room--it showed up 4 days later!
Overall I thought the food was good--when they weren't out of it--but the service was slow and the resort diffinately was NOT worth the money we spent.
They need to update their website as it greatly overexagerates the quality of the place.
I would not recommend Grand Lido.
