Ann Marie Antoinette is no saint.

After three previous stays in the Quarter, we know what to expect from old hotels in the area. October 5-7, 2007 was our first stay in this hotel. While the hotel didn?t seem all that busy our party of 4 was scattered over three floors. We were denied the promised balcony room they had always claimed on the phone was available. The carpets were filthy--wear socks. One in our party moved from a room with a broken shower to a room with a broken faucet. We met a lady in the elevator who suggested we buy sheets at a store nearby. She didn?t want to sleep on the linens in her room. The front desk clerk was consistently rude. Understandable since the management seems disinterested in maintaining their property or training their staff. Pity since the charming building and courtyard are really pretty with plum location to great shopping and eateries. Could be so nice.
