The Dutch aren’t really famous for their cuisine and cooking. Normally you only hear about the French, Italian and even the Spanish but certainly not the Dutch. While the Germans are famous for their bratwurst and schnitzel its difficult to really think off anything that the Dutch are famous for. They certainly do like their potatoes mashed with vegetables.

We stayed a few days in the city of Den Haque mostly famous for the Dutch Parliament and the Queen staying here. Fruther more it’s just your typical Dutch village with beautiful buildings and streets which alone are worth looking at. We decided to go to this restaurant after a day of wondering around at our first day in the city.

The restaurant looked very invited from the outside with the use of warm colours. There wasn’t any outdoor seating probably due to the weather but it did look like their could be seating when the weather allows it. The restaurant inside is a bit small but looks very homey and had a great atmosphere.

Since we had lunch in the afternoon so wasn’t really that hungry so we only had a main course. The menu had an extensive selection of different kind of dishes, mostly meat. I decided to go for a simple hambuger dish which came with french fries and a salad. Simple but very delicious and wel portioned. The salad also tasted very fresh and came with a nice dressing.

A small but nice enoug restaurant to go for dinner.
