A young mother of four gives an inside look at Niagara Falls, Ontario Canada.

Of course the breathtaking Falls was one of the highlights of the trip. If you ask my children, they will say when they got to shoot the ghosts at the Ghostblaster and the 3D rides.${QuickSuggestions} Look on the Internet for coupons! You can get money off on a lot of the tourist-trap-type amusements. If you go into the Midway, they sell a combo ticket for the Ghostblaster, 3D ride, miniature golf, and Skyline ride for a decent cost. Ripley's offers combo tickets also.${BestWay} If you want to be where everything is at, find a hotel in walking distance to Clifton Hill and the Falls. You will be able to walk everywhere. Parking is expensive!

The hotels around Clifton Hill/Niagara Falls are very expensive. We found this hotel to be moderately priced in comparison and they offered family suites. The family suite had a seperate bedroom with a queen bed. There was a queen and a sofa sleeper in the main room. The suite had very poor lighting. In the main room there was only one free standing lamp and one wall fixture. I thought that was a little strange. There was also only one tiny garbage in the entire suite which for six people was definitely not enough! The furniture and decor was dated. There were ants in the bathroom. The hotel was in walking distance to Clifton Hill and that was what was important to us. Another plus was the huge indoor pool!So if you want a hotel that is convenient to the sites and you don't care about luxery then this would be a good value for you.
It is one big tourist trap, but it's still fun! Be prepared to spend a lot of money! The kids will love it. In the summer months they have free fireworks over the Falls. Exchange your money at the casinos, because they have the best exchange rate. Here is a list of activities you can find on Clifton Hill: Haunted Houses3D RidesMiniature GolfRipley's MuseumWax Museums(rock star, criminal hall of fame, Madame Tussaud's)Candy StoresToy StoresHershey StoreMGM StoreHarley StoreMotorcycle MuseumRainforest CafeKelsey'sBurger KingOutdoor Karaoke BarNightclubsArcadesWWE StoreSouvenir ShopsCasinoand many more!
We had a lot of fun at Madame Tussaud's! All the wax figures were out in the open ready for a photo opportunity. We went to the Movieland Wax Museum and MT was by far the better of the two. Movieland Wax Museum's figures were all behind glass walls so you couldn't touch. Plus, they didn't look as real. We had too much fun taking funny photos of all the "celebrities". This was well worth the money we spent. You can purchase combined passes with Ripley's museum and 3d ride to save money.
This is definitely not as good as Madame Tussuad's wax museum! All the wax figures are behind glass walls and are off limits for touching. The figures aren't as high quality as MT's either. The Simpsons display which were out in the open for photo ops was a highlight. So was the haunted house section of the museum. The rest was a bust.
