some incredible historical locations for dining and drinks!${QuickSuggestions} ${BestWay} walking in center city and taxis for more remote destinations and at night. some parking is available- the situation is better than manhattan, anyway!
this place was recently named one of the most romantic restaurants in philly- in an old townhouse decorated and with the feel of a luxe orivate home. piano players at the bar, dining upstairs and down and a gorgeous outdoor courtyard with tiny torches and tiny white lights. great food and wine, definitely an experience!
this place is architecturally incredible. the lobby bar is in the rotunda lobby, a huge neoclassic cavern of a room with gorgeous decor on a stunning scale. you'll be looking up and around the whole time! a very civilized place for a drink and to soak up the history. impress a date!
people-watching! lots of kids, families on the benches and around the fountains. very peaceful but in the middle of things. lined with beautiful buildings and restaurants.
this is a lovely street lined with great shopping- ann taylor, kenneth cole, etc. also some nice coffeshops. it's a very picturesque stroll when the weather is nice. Not far from Rittenhouse Square, either.
