This resort is like Must See TV! You must see it, experience it, and live it in order to believe it.

Beautiful marble floors, elegant chandelier, clean, exceptional service, proper personnel that's always ready to serve you at any given moment. Truly, truly remarkable.

The all-inclusive fee is a little pricey but it's well worth it. You get what you pay for.

Check-it out, though! You'll be glad that you did.${QuickSuggestions} Bring plenty of small US bills when you come because everyone is big on tips. They don't bombard you or awkwardly stand there waiting for a tip but they certainly do appreciate it!${BestWay} If you're the adventurous type, then it may be worth to rent a car because, although the El Dorado Royale is in the resort zone, nothing is within walking distance. Otherwise, if your plans are to hang around the resort and take in a few excursions, then most of your transportation needs will be provided by the Resort.

This resort is awesome! Seriously, everything about it is high-end. The service, food, activities, rooms; you name it, they have it!

We did our research before leaving, and found everything to be exactly as we had seen it on the web.

When you walk into the lobby, it's like a breathe of fresh air. The smell is very aromatic, much like a powder fresh scent. Walking into the lobby reminded me of the Febreze commercial where people open and close the door just to take it all in again!

Believe me, it's well worth it! See it for yourself - take a look at our pictures.

El Dorado Royale's Resort Restaurants

All of the onsite restaurants at El Dorado Royale were excellent! There was the La Fondue, D'Italia, La Isle & Copucana (?). Delicious.

Breakfast and lunch were pretty much buffet style but for dinner (which each restaurant, with the exception of one) required reservations of which your personal concierge takes care of for you.

Every meal that we had was gourmet style. Very good food. You could tell that the Chef takes pride in every dish he/she creates. Very seldom did we eat out side of the resort.

Their dining is very highly recommended and is also included in the all-inclusive pricing.

The ATV tour is awesome! I'm certain that my husband enjoyed it more than I did. I think its the thrill of the chase that gets the adrenalin going!

This was a very good tour. Not much sightseeing but really just riding the ATVs. The men get very competitive here, so wives hold on!

This was the last excursion we went on but the best of them all.

Chichen Itza (Mayan Ruins)

This tour was very good and educational but you better be in store for an all-day excursion. We were picked up as early as 7:45am and returned back to the resort at 8pm. It's a 2-hour ride to Chichen Itza and along the way, other sightseers are picked up from the various resorts along the strip.

Our tour guide, Tortuga (AKA Turtle) was really good and funny. He reminds of George from Seinfeld because he's short and stocky. He's very knowledgeable about the area and entertaining at the same time with his stories.

He has this saying "Ah, chihuahua!" when something sounds crazy to him. It kept me laughing the entire time.

The tour overall was good to see because it showed the history behind Mexico as well as divulge into science and religious history with some of the hieroglyphics. Take a look at some pictures.

The fun cruise! Another all day excursion but very good. The crew is hilarious and they work very well together. They kept the crowd engaged and excited about the tours.

Isla Las Mujeres is a beautiful small island. There's shopping, sightseeing, and swimming with the dolphins.

Lobster Dinner Cruise

The Lobster Dinner cruise is out of this world. The meal was FAN-TAB-U-LOUS!

You don't actually eat on the boat; but instead you cruise around the island long enough for the chefs to prepare your meals. Then you return to lavish meal prepare just for you and your sweetheart under the stars on the beach. Awhhh! It was so beautiful and it was a wonderful way for my husband and I to celebrate our 11th wedding anniversary.
