A tour of all the (touristy) sites in Paris.

The views from the top are absolutely breathtaking. I never could have imagined how beautiful this city is! If you're in Paris for the first time, I strongly recommend starting at the Tour Eiffel and then ending with the view from Le Sacre Coeur.
This is a massive museum—you need at least a day to take it all in. It seems like everyone makes a beeline for the Mona Lisa and then wanders around (lost). Of course, for fans of "The Da Vinci Code," it is exciting to retrace the steps of the book's opening murder scene and then to final location of the grail at the end of the book. Hmmm. The book didn't say anything about a Virgin Megastore adjacent to the grail.

Le Sacre Coeur is yet another beautiful cathedral in Paris. To get there from the metro, you have to ascend quite a few stairs. If that is not for you, lookout for the mini-shuttle that will spare you the workout (something I didn't learn until after the fact). But once up there, you are treated with a great view of Paris—absolutely worth the pain! It is a great place to go to wrap-up a day of sightseeing.
The sculptures on the exterior are amazing in the detail, as they have stained glass in the interior. I have never before seen anything it—this is a must-see if you are in Paris.
