This hotel was worth the money--very cute, cozy hotel. A bit of a walk to the ocean--about 300 yards--but the pool is within steps of your room. It was a bit pricey for drinks, and they need to have music or something by the pool during the day, and the tiki bar closes early. Thursday, they did have some live music; it was good. The area itself was nice--the beach had lots of shells and restaurants close by, within walking distance. Staff okay. I would stay there again.

Spent Easter weekend here in March of 2005, Very crowded, there were no poolside chairs available, people would save them as early as 5:30am. Staff was very friendly, the guests were a bit to be desired. Some very rude and just ignorant. The resturant at hotel ok. Kids running there fingers through the buffet table fruit and eating from it and when told rest. staff they did nothing about it. The beach is nice. Hotel is very '50s-style cute, nice little rooms, parking a little crazy at night so if you go out finding a parking space is tough when you come back. Very crowded here during this holiday. Not sure if it was worth it. Have two nice pools, nice tiki bar, need to have some kinda of entertainment around pool, poolside games or something during the day. When it seems everyone is at the pool, just alot of noise. My kids had fun in pools, too windy to use the big water bikes though. Might visit again, not on a holiday weekend.

This park is well worth the trip--definitely pack a cooler and spend the day here. Just watch out for the raccoons; they are all over the place, and they do try to steal your food if not in a tight cooler. They do come right up to your coolers and trash cans too. The beaches in this park are just wonderful. The peacefulness of the island is just amazing. The sunsets are also spectacular. I would definitely go back next time and stay longer, we just happened acrossed it and did not plan on a day there just driving back from dinner and saw the signs and decided to go in and see it. Will pack a picnic and spend the day there next time.
