Memories of Sedona

On a trip to visit our son in Arizona, we took a side trip to Sedona. Our friends suggested it, and we are in no way sorry that we went.

Have lunch at the Enchantment Resort and a prickly pear margarita. Also, eat at the Oak Creek Brewery in the Tlakapaque Mall and take the the Verde Canyon train ride. Have a spa treatment at New Day Spa.${QuickSuggestions} ${BestWay} By car was the only way we traveled (besides taking the train ride).

Best Things Nearby:
Tlakapaque Mall, Chapel in the Mount, and many restaurants.

Best Things About the Resort:
Quiet. Spacious rooms and a lovely pond right outside our door filled with duckies and a fountain. The ducks were not shy and actually would knock on the glass door for food. Martin (concierge) was most helpful in suggesting restaurants and booking reservations.

Resort Experience:
The resort was very quiet because it was off the beaten track. It had a par-three golf course. There was a pool on-site, but because of the time of year we were there, we weren't able to use it. However, there are three RCI resorts in Sedona, and one of them did have an indoor pool we were allowed to use. Each morning Martin would call to tell us the highlights of the day at the other RCI resorts. We were able to rent movies that featured Sedona.

Chapel of the Holy Cross

The Chapel offers great views of the red rocks. It was very spiritual, uplifting, and nonsectarian. There was a great gift shop that had many various religious items from around the world. They played soothing music, great for meditation, throughout the building.
