We honeymooned in Lake Tahoe and would recommend this paradise of the Northwest to anyone!

We stayed at the Harrah's Resort and Casino in Stateline, Lake Tahoe, Nevada. We were treated like royalty, and being a young newlywed couple, we were concerned about being treated poorly. We even requested a room change after the first night due to a noisy convention, and the staff could not have been more helpful. We loved being around the casinos, but we were also very fortunate to be in a high-rise where we could overlook the incredibly beautiful lake. We felt we had the best of both worlds! The rooms were beautiful and not outdated. We would recommend this to anyone looking for a relaxing retreat with fun just a breath away!
We took a dinner boat tour on the M.S. Dixie II. We absolutely loved this part of our trip! It was an evening boat ride that featured a meal and a band with an open dance floor. Since the tour left early enough in the evening, we were able to enjoy the incredible scenery of the lake, but when the sun dropped behind the mountains, the party began! We enjoyed cocktails and dancing to the boat band and had a great time with people of all ages. This was well worth the time and preparation and expense. We recommend this as a MUST for anyone who wants a fun but romantic evening in one of the most beautiful places in the world!
We rented bicycles through a local agency in South Lake Tahoe, hoping for an enjoyable and relaxing ride around the lake. We would recommend this to anyone, but be sure to listen when the bike rental people are telling you where to go! We got lost and ended up riding around in a residential area for about an hour before we found where we needed to go! We loved being able to enjoy the fantastic scenery of the lake and the mountains, though, regardless of being lost!
