The "Girls' Trip" is what we called it, as three friends were getting away for the week to relax, bond, and laugh a lot. We couldn't have asked for a better location than Punta Cana to share such a wonderful experience together.

Best Things Nearby:The ocean was practically right outside the hotel doors. It was the coolest experience being able to get up every morning, walk out your door, and see the ocean. Best Things About the Resort:The atmosphere was relaxing and the poeple friendly, always saying, "Hola," while strolling along the walks. Resort Experience:The resort offers everything you need to enjoy and/or relax on your vacation. There are activities galore for entertainment near the beach. Or take guided tours outside of the resort to see more Dominican sites. Or just be a lazy bum and sit by the beach and eat whenever you want at the multiple buffets and restaurants available.
Unit Type: 1 Bedroom

The buffet at the Iberostar Bavaro had a huge selection of food, but the restaurant is not air-conditioned, which makes most foods not as appetizing. There were about 10 different large buffet tables for your choice. I loved the fresh-made fruit juices. We actually ended up trying the buffet at the adjoining Iberostar hotels and found the Bavaro to have a better selection of food. The buffet always had animals made out of food, which were very artistic. Check out the pictures of the animal food.
The market was right on the beach of the Iberostar Bavaro Resort. There are about 15 individual shops represented. The market is a handprint of Dominican culture. The convenience of the market was fantastic--a small stroll down the beach and shopping is available. You can find anything from small trinkets to household decorations to the beautiful jewelry. As you come upon the market, you will see lots of puppies, which are so adorable (and for sale). The sellers start with high prices, but you can barter and almost have to with everything because the starting price is always high. The people are very friendly in the shops. If you try to walk away from a sale, they usually will come down to the price you want for the item. My advice is to bargain, bargain, bargain...
