Calgary Trip to Visit Sister's Baby

We went to go visit my sister, who just had a baby in Calgary, and had a great time sightseeing too!

This is a new Days Inn very close to the airport. There is a Tim Horton’s literally right by the back door (in the parking lot), as well as a McSonald's There is lots of shopping very close by, and the Sunridge Mall is walking distance. There are also so many restaurants close by, like Perkins, Tony Roma’s, Earls, etc. It is a 10-minute/5-minute drive to the airport from here.

The rooms in this hotel are very, very nice (brand-new). The beds are very comfortable. The first night, we slept in an outside room, where there was construction going on, so it was very noisy. We changed rooms and were on the other side of the building, where it was very quiet.

There was supposed to be fitness room somewhere, but I could not find it. They had a laundry room, which was very nice. I would stay there again.

The deluxe continental breakfast is wonderful, with a lot of variety. The pool has a waterslide. The only downfall was that the whirlpool was not working during the entire stay there, 4 days, which really would have been nice if it had been.

This is the best Mexican restaurant I have ever been to. The food is absolutely amazing, and the atmosphere is second to none. They even have Mexican hats by your table if you decide to get a little funky!

Calgary Zoo

It is a really great zoo with a lot of indoor areas to see the animals close up. I would say this place was a lot better than Busch Gardens in Tampa in regard to the animals.
