Winter Break in Utah

This had the best skiing and value in all of Utah. Who can beat $10 Tuesdays on a mountain with over 13 lifts, over 50 runs (which I personally did), and an untouched backcountry!

Fantastic fireplace rooms, excellent workout facilities, game rooms for adults and kids, cafe, and a fine dining restaurant. The in-hotel store carries everything from medication to oranges to postcards. Two spas and a heated pool all indoors help you relax after a long day on the slopes. I wish I had some pictures to show, because the place is just gorgeous. There's free shuttle pick-up every 10 minutes, as the beginner mountain is 2 minutes away, and the advanced mountain is about 5 minutes away. Underground parking is located right across from a fully stocked convenience market/deli.

Excellent food for the money--better than eating anywhere else for the same price at this resort. They're open on Sundays too!! The salads are excellent, the mushroom burger is phenomenal, and the wine... well, I can't remember much. They open at 7am for breakfast and don't close till 10pm, so feel free to drop in after you hit the spas. The place is called Cedar Breaks Cafe.

When driving up it looks to be a like you won't find the resort, but when you get there - wow!! They have two mountains, a beginner mountain with about seven to eight beginner runs and a more advanced mountain with about 40 runs and a virtually untouched backcountry. All lifts are Quad lifts, the longest taking about 5 to 7 minutes. All runs are long and groomed, with some of the best riding in the trees on the beginner mountain!! There is an excellent terrain park with a well-manicured half-pipe. For all you experts, pay the $5 and have the snowcat take you up to the peak - it's worth it.
