Very, very, very nice. Arrival by night is very picturesque, with the hotel lit up nicely. A very welcoming scene after a long journey. The rooms overlooking the frozen lake are magnificent. Wake up to views of the glacier and the frozen lake.

One year our room was too small for a family. Subsequently, we were moved to a small suite complete with DVD/CD player, etc.

The staff of the hotel was very good, and very helpful. There are a number of restaurants, from the deli to a very upmarket fine dining room. There is a Ski Louise desk within the hotel, so lift tickets and lesson can be arranged without the need to go to the ski hill. Buses are available every 30 minutes to and from the hill and at longer intervals to Banff. Dog sledding is a 15-minute walk away and a X-country lodge is on site.

The views are exceptional from the mountain, both down the valley and to the base area. There are plenty of runs below the tree line and a few above the tree line. There are three slopes to explore, all served by interconnecting lifts.
