Barcaldine Castle is the 16th Century home of the Campbells of Barcaldine located 9 miles north of Oban in Southeast Scotland. The Castle has two rooms for Bed and Breakfast visitors.

My wife and I stayed in the Barcaldine room. The room was quite nice filled with antiques and paraphernalia showing the history of the Castle. To add to your comfort there was a towel warming bar, an electric blanket for the bed, and hospitality trays with a variety of goodies.

Caroline Campbell is a gracious host willing to please. The breakfast was delicious.
Cost: 48 GBP a night. The web site http://www.barcaldinecastle.co.uk/
