Taking the gondola down to Heavenly from the resort. Snowboarding at Heavenly Ski Resort and soaking afterwards in a hot tub, steam room, or sauna. Go sledding/tubing with kids.${QuickSuggestions} Sledding tip: At the top of the property, at the turn-around on the main road through the property behind the Naegle buildings #10 and #11, there is a great sledding hill -- you can get going really fast. For the little kids, at the plaza building tennis court, right along the road, there is a small hill the little ones can sled down (this is where I let my 2.5-year-old learn to ride his snowboard).${BestWay} The best way to get down to the Heavenly stagecoach lift is not the gondola! You can snowboard down the above mentioned sledding hill (just don't get caught!). Lift ticket sales will be to your right and the stagecoach lift will be to your left.

They have a better-than-decent terrain park and half pipe; although the resort map showed three, the other two were closed. IF YOU SNOWBOARD, BEWARE: going from California side to Nevada side or vice versa, you most likely will have to unstrap and push! There are quite a few near-flat areas or up-hills that are inconvenient for snowboarders.

The are awesome views of the lake and the Nevada Desert from the top of the mountain. But I think $62 is a bit overpriced for the views and snowboarding at Heavenly.
