A Hidden Gem in Germany

I used to live here! Einbeck is the place where I grew up. It is such a beautiful place, small, with medieval architecture, beautiful half-timbered houses, and a fantastic surrounding!

Haus Johanna is a small guesthouse run by a nice couple, the Hennekes. It is a family place, with nice, quiet rooms and a wonderful breakfast.

Das Brodhaus is a traditional German restaurant and pub. It is a very nice place, especially if you manage to sit in one of the huge beer barrels and enjoy some Einbecker bier!

History Step by Step

Einbeck is such a beautiful small town, about 15000 inhabitants and full of the most beautiful architecture! Most houses were built in the 16th century and have been renovated nicely during the past decades!

The town hall with its three towers is the symbol of the town and with every step you take you will discover something new.

Don't miss the "Eick'sches Haus" on Market Street. It has the most beautiful wood carvings showing the muses, the apostles, the virtues and other things -- and desperately needing restauration!!!
