Best Things Nearby:The lake itself is almost right outside the door of the resort, with shops, a small sandy beach, and the dock for the Tahoe Queen paddlewheel boat.
A few blocks away is a lovely lakefront park where we watched balloons do touch-and-go's over the lake.Best Things About the Resort:The location, right by the lake and yet near to town activities. Also the unit itself, with balcony.Resort Experience:Our condo was well furnished. We had a full kitchen, balcony, and two bathrooms. The master bath was huge with two sinks and a big tub/shower with clear glass enclosure.
There is a restaurant, fitness center, and indoor/outdoor pool.

Sailing on the Tahoe Queen was a relaxing afternoon with beautiful views of the lake and the mountains. The boat goes into Emerald Bay, past the island with the teahouse on it, and up to Vikingsholm "Castle". You could tell the depth of the water as you sailed over it, changing color from green to vivid blue to dark blue. The red paddlewheel made for some great pictures, and nothing could beat the scenery.
My husband enjoyed the blackjack and Pai Gow tables, while I had a great time
at the delightful piano bar with dueling pianos. They would play any song requested (with a tip) and the audience could sing along. Great fun for those who need to pass the time while a spouse is gambling!
We took the gondola to the top of the mountain and the views were unbelievable. The lake is huge and oh, so blue. At the top you get off and there is a large deck area where you can view the lake from several different angles. There is a small gift shop. You can go higher and hike along the trails, but we didn't do this.
