Our first trip to Vegas was on a timeshare sales weekend. We didn't think we'd buy, until we got there and saw what a great place it is. Now we can't wait to get back. We didn't gamble much, but there is so much else to do and see!

It's not too extensive a walk. The landscaping is wonderful. The dolphins are treated well. They aren't trained, but play in their own natural way. The big cats are some of the rarest in the world. You can practically touch them. They are obviously well cared for and content. Siegfried and Roy have recorded an informational tour that visitors can hear on a headset (which is included in the entry fee).
Las Vegas has some of the most fabulous performers around playing in the casino lounges. The idea is to draw in gamblers, but we went lounge-hopping just for the music. We heard a great blues band at the House of Blues for free, and saw an awesome Prince impersonator with full band in the lounge of the hotel we were staying in. We also stopped in to hear a first-rate funk band at the Luxor. The only downside is all the cigarette smoke. After 2 nights, my eyes were red and burning.
