We booked our accommodation on-line with Eurocamp and stayed in a mobile home. The camp site has a collection of mobile homes - some available to hire through Eurocamp and Keycamp and some privately owned. There are also spaces where you can camp. It cost us around £500 for a week.

We were met on arrival by the Eurocamp rep - a very helpful man who gave us lots of useful information and tips on the local area and discount vouchers. He also had a vast selection of board games, books, tennis rackets, balls, badminton rackets, buckets and spades etc. which he told us to feel free to borrow and use any time throughout our stay.

Our mobile home had three small bedrooms - one with double bed, one with twin beds and one with bunkbeds. There was a basic living area and small kitchen which had a microwave, cooker and fridge. The bathroom had a shower. The accommodation is basic, but it was clean, adequate and comfortable. We paid extra for a welcome pack (I wouldn't bother with that) and for sheets/blankets/towels - essential, as they do not come as standard.

Outside there was a gas barbeque, 2 sunloungers and a table with 4 chairs.

There was no television in the mobile home - much to our 6 year old's despair, but he soon learned how unnecessary one of those is when you stay in a place like this. There was a little radio / CD player.

We stocked up on food from the local supermarket - MaxiMarkt - just 5 minutes drive away - it is excellent, very high quality produce and has everything you could possibly need.

The site is extremely well-maintained, clean and peaceful. It is owned and run by a local family, who also own the hotel on the site. Here there is a lovely bar and restaurant. There was entertainment on one of the nights we stayed, and we had an excellent meal in the restaurant one evening.

There are 2 outdoor playgrounds for children and a small (cold) outdoor swimming pool. There is also a games room and large indoor play room with ballpit, climbing wall and lego. They have tennis courts you can use free of charge and a beautiful private lake.

There is a children's club with organised activities - our son did not go, but it looked fun and seemed to be very well run.

Close to the campsite, there is a wonderful choice of walks and waterfalls.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here - it is not luxurious, but very family friendly (our son claimed it was one of the best places he had ever stayed), has everything you need and is in a beautiful location - all in all perfect for a lovely family holiday. Close
