Cristian Sur Apartments are located in Los Cristianos, Tenerife, opposite Tenerife Sur Apartments, and is a mere two minute walk from the Los Cristianos bus station. There are two ways you can rent an apartment on Cristian Sur; either from the reception desk itself or from one of the private owners on Cristian Sur and it's possible to rent one bedroom apartments and two bedroom apartments.
The complex itself is very well maintained and you'll find a whole host of handymen wandering around the complex, making sure everything is neat and tidy and each morning one of the cleaners goes through the entire complex with a mop. All of the gardens around Cristian Sur are very well maintained and the handymen make sure the plants and things never get in the way of guests. There are two swimming pools, open to all, which are also well maintained although due to the sheer volume of apartments, can get a little busy during the day.
The apartment complexes are split into different colours: Amarillo (Yellow), Verde (Green), Azul (Blue) and Violetta (Violet) and there's around 80 or 90 apartments to each coloured block. The one downside of Cristian Sur is the amount of stairs, unless you're on the ground floor you have to climb at least 20 stairs to reach your apartment and it's certainly not a wheelchair or pushchair friendly complex as there are no lifts.
I have to say I've never encountered a studio apartment on the complex, only one bedroom and two bedroom apartments. The two bedrooms are all located on the upper-most floors (meaning a lot of stairs) and are in the style of a duplex apartment, with spiral staircases. Upstairs has a balcony, a bathroom and bedroom and downstairs ditto as well as living area and kitchen. All of the two bedrooms are incredibly spacious and easily fit in 4 people although I imagine trying to fit in 5/6 could become a bit troublesome. The layouts differ with each apartment: the kitchen could be open plan or enclosed in an encove type of layout but generally they are all the same. All of the one bedroom apartments are basically two bedroom apartments minus the extra floor. There are one bedroom apartments on the ground floor all the way to the second-to-the-top floor.
Some of the apartments are better looking than others. Many of the ones I've encountered have had refurbishments, but they are all privately owned, and I'm fairly sure the ones that the reception desk rent out aren't refurbished at all and only offer the basics in terms of what is actually in the apartments. All the usual items you would expect are there: iron and ironing board, safe, hairdryer, clothes horse and some of the apartments ever have washing machines.
There are lots of amenities located within the complex. There are numerous restaurants and supermarkets in the locales on the complex including Arco Iris, which is located in the actual complex as well as two supermarkets either side of reception as well as Orange Badge (a hire company) and Ye Olde Tea Rooms (restaurant) so everything you may need is pretty much on your aparment step.
Cristian Sur apartments are well worth looking into if you're booking a family holiday. I don't for one second think it's the quietest complex in the world but it's cheap and cheerful enough to be sufficient for a week or two's holiday. It is also one of the better maintained complexes in Los Cristianos and is near the bus station and is around 10 minutes from the beach and Sunday market.
