We had a wonderful 5 day 4 night stay at the Casa del Suizo. Our rooms looked directly over the Napo river. From our hammock on our covered porch you could watch the public transportation (dug out canoes) going up and down the river.
The lodge is landscaped with beautiful local flora. The pool is large and sparkling clean. Dinning at the resort is a treat, the chefs provide three great meals a day buffet style. In the afternoon the bar is open for any and all types of beverages.
During the day tours are offered with a native guide and a bilingual guide. These tours include jungle hikes, river rafting and swimming, interaction with the peoples living in the area, and bird watching.
One thing I do have to warn you about, there are several birds that live at the resort, be careful of the large green parrot with the red band above his beak. It has a tendency to bite and it is sneaky about it. At a table around the pool he crawled up the back of my chair and nipped my back. It was not hard but it sure was a surprise.
