We had the pleasure of staying in apartment on Majdan for a week in early July 2009. The use of an apartment offers flexibility and freedom that you do not experience in a hotel room. It also works out to be a cheaper option and provides the opportunity to experience life in Kiev. Our stay started on a friendly and positive note when we met office stuff at the apartment who provided a warm welcome and were an absolute delight. The apartment itself was very cute and accurate, and had all we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. If you are into exploring Kiev nightlife then it is at your doorstep, however if you were like us then the location was also perfect and unbelievably quiet. The city park was about a 2-13min walk, as was the Independence Square metro station which made getting about to different areas of Kiev an easy task. There is an array of cafés in the area but also supermarkets and a traditional bakery within a convenient distance if you want to prepare a meal yourself. The apartment and our experience staying there far exceeded our expectations, and we highly recommend Grata company and the apartment to anyone wanting to visit/stay in Kiev
