A Family Hostel Near the Bridge

Hostel Miran near the Bridge

They really look after you here. Its family run and they treat you more like a houseguest. It is not fancy but it is spotless and Miran met us at the bus. As soon as we arrived he offered us to make tea or us a cold drink. Free Internet. We were able to do some laundry here and hang in on the clothesline!!

Miran's Mom told us 5 grenades hit the house during the war , one killing her Dad. There is a huge crack in the courtyard floor that marks the spot. Sitting in her quiet courtyard as she told the story it was hard to imagine the violence that once was Mostar.


We had a double room and shared a washroom with a few other quests. We highly recommend this place!! There is free Internet. We were able to some laundry here and hang in on the clothesline!! It is a bargain at 20euro for two.
