Inexpensive but Comfortable Hotel in Downtown Tegucigalpa

These are Spanish style accommodations. It is a two story hotel with cable TV. The staff is very friendly. There is also a small restaurant with a continental breakfast only. The cost is $16 for a single room. This is a good three star hotel. There is no air conditioning but the ceiling fans keep the rooms extremely pleasant even during the hottest part of the day.

The desk clerk advised me not to go out after dark since this was a high crime area. However, I was hungry late that night so I quickly walked without incident to a small hamburger stand about a block away. Comayaguelo is the twin sister city to the capital of Tegucigalpa but they are intertwined. I was advised that any area of Tegucigalpa is not safe at night.

The hotel is not far from the airport and it is near major parts of downtown and the post office.
