You will absolutely love the location and ambiance of this hotel. It really is perfection - easy access to shops, restaurants (the one at the hotel is superb-De Pisis!) and nightlife.
There is also a good local restaurant that not many know about - Trattoria alla Madonna - our Travel Consultant recommended and the food was fabulous! Near Rialto.
The location of the hotel makes it so easy to get around to see the sights. The Bauer offer spacious suites with large bathrooms and comfortable King bedding. Which is nice, after a long day of walking! Plus the rooms have the added convenience of internet connection.
The service was wonderful - we had all of our touring pre-arranged which was such a time saver! Donna Salerno (Ebbs), our Travel Consultant of many years, you can find her on LinkedIn.com, did another outstanding job with this trip. Her 100 research fee more than pays for itself, and it's applied to your trip cost, when you book.
We were lucky to have our private tours included here, as Venice is a wonderful city for walking/strolling. If you want to linger longer at one of the museums, etc., your English speaking guide is there to help answer any questions and lets you in on the-inside scoop- for so many things.
The hotel is steps away from St. Mark's Square, which itself is quite entertaining. Music in the evening, shops, restaurants, outside cafes, gelato, etc.,
The bar at the hotel, Bar Canale, was an excellent choice for meeting up with friends before dinner. You can sit back and relax with a drink and appetizer and view the activities on the Canal. Those water taxis and gondolas are a sight!
Remember to book early for the best room selection - and to get your roundtrip transfers included - the Bauer does have a water taxi door which is very convenient for the loading/unloading of luggage.
Enjoy your stay - we'll be back later this year!
