Leith Hall is a lovely Victorian B&B located 2 minutes walking distance from Cape May's shore. Onsite parking makes it almost invaluable as street parking can be hard to find in this tourist town. However, the prices of this B&B are extremely high for some of the rooms. In particular, the $250+/night for the Iris Room is a bit of a ripoff. The room, while large and pleasant, used to be the main parlor of the house and was blocked off to create a money-making extra room. The room is located right next to the wrap-around porch and hallway where breakfast is served and consumed...loudly. Waking up to the clinks and clatters of spoons on porcelain and then loud guffaws of laughter at 8AM might be somebody's cup of tea, but not mine. Annoyingly, the innkeepers made no attempt to keep noise down and led the loud outdoor conversation with gusto, perhaps forgetting that there were paying guests trying to sleep 1 foot away from the window.
While the charm of a B&B can be the people and closeness, this was too close. Save your money by retiring to a different room in this B&B or go to a different house all together.
