Very clean, Very expensive for the middle of Kansas

We pay the extra for the clean room. I like having a bed with a duvet, not a comforter that has been on the bed for no telling how long and over no telling how many people. The rooms have a clean feeling about them. I don't feel like I need to be afraid to walk across the carpet or sit in the chairs. However, I do still bring my own pillow just because I feel better about it.
The breakfast buffet could be much better. It is mostly an expanded Continental breakfast with sweet rolls, muffins, waffles, bagels and other breads and cereals. Once they had scrambled eggs and sausage. They could do better with the breakfast, since they are making an effort. It is just poorly thought out. If you are dieting, diabetic or can't eat gluten, plan to eat elsewhere. The dining area is very nice.
Bedbugs

During an extended stay in Hays, KS, I stayed at the Hampton Inn on the north side of I-70. At this hotel, I woke up the first morning to find between 12 & 15 bedbugs in my room. They moved me to another room, different floor. About two weeks later, I had two more bedbugs in the bed. Avoid this hotel!!!!!!!!! I was not the only one who had trouble with bedbugs during that time.

We had booked at the OTHER Hampton Inn in town, but didn't realize that there were two, so when we arrived late that night they honored the price we had and made accommodations for us. The breakfast was GREAT, we LOVED the pool. The beds were so comfortable that we actually went online and bought the pillows they had! At the time we were traveling with a 1 year old and 3 year old, and we did get a noise complaint - we did try to keep them quiet. We just tried to get them down to breakfast as quickly as possible. Really clean, really new, great location... we are definitely staying again!
