Great for kids

I took my 8 year old grandson to visit Washington and this hotel was great. The location is good, he enjoyed the pool and the full breakfast made his day.
The staff was very helpful with making reservations and answering general questions.

I have nothing but great things to say about this hotel. The entire staff was very friendly. We were able to check in early (around 10:00 AM) and check out late (around 1:30) at no extra charge. The rooms were very clean and very comfortable with plenty of space for two adults (friends not a couple). There are free computers with internet access in the lobby as well as a printer with no printing charges (we were able to print our boarding passes for our flight when we checked out). The free breakfast is fantastic! We never ate lunch during our stay because we had enough at the hotel! The lines weren't that long and seating was not a problem. The free cocktail reception was even better with apparently unlimited cocktails and snacks for 2 hours. We didn't need to buy dinner either so the money you save in meals out makes the room rate very reasonable. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The beds were VERY comfortable and the layout of the room (bedroom in the back) separates you from noise in the hallway. It was in walking distance to most of the attractions and anything that wasn't could be reached by the Metro which is a quick walk. Cabs are readily available as well. I don't have a single complaint about this hotel and can't wait to go back to DC so I can stay there again. I've already recommended it to several people.

We booked this hotel because we wanted a large room and area for our six year old and eigth month old and we were not disappointed. The hotel staff was excellent and the room was big and very clean. We were able to walk to all the attractions includuing China Town, and felt very safe doing so. This is an excellent place to stay for families, we will be back.

We loved Embassy Suites at the Convention Center. We had 3 Metro stops to choose from, depending on which direction we were traveling in. We were one street over from many restaurants and coffee shops. The rooms were roomy and very clean! The staff was very helpful. We will definitely stay again next time we visit DC

We stayed at Embasssy Suites Convention Ctr hotel in early August 2008. It was a great experience beginning to end. The breakfast was excellent and very filling. We would eat a big breakfast and go out for lunch around 2:30 - 3:00 then go to the Manager's reception in the evening. It saved so much money to only pay for one meal out and a snack or two. Loved having the refrigerator in the room too. We would walk all day and be exhausted when we got back to hotel. It was nice to have cold drinks. The location was perfect for all we wanted to see. We could walk or catch a metro very easily. Read an earlier review on this site and learned that you could catch a metro quickly by going through the lobby of the Hyatt hotel. The room was very clean and a good size for our family of 4. Loved having the table there - had take out one night and having the kids sit at the table was helpful. Our family would definitely stay there again and I have already recommended it to others.
