All hotel rates in Ithaca seem high especially during Cornell reunions. We selected Hilton's Homewood Suites because we were considering traveling with our beagle Sami and Homewood is 'dog friendly'. As it turned out Sami stayed with friends in Oneida. The Suites were perfect with large, clean rooms and a really nice complimentary hot breakfast. The staff and courtesy van service left nothing to be desired. The indoor pool was clean and inviting. Parking was plentiful and a nearby mall provided shopping for any forgotten items. We didn't cook in the room but the kitchenette was clean and well appointed with a full size fridge. The only negative was some road noise from the highway but it wasn't really excessive. All in all my wife and I were very satisfied with our stay as were other Cornell couples. We will come back.
Very Nice Hotel in Ithaca

I was kind of surprised to see very bad reviews about this hotel. I and my family stayed in three hotels in Ithaca in the last few years, and the Homewood was the best by far. Friendly staff, good breakfast, excellent bed. It?s a little far from Cornell, but you?ll need a car in Ithaca anyway if you?re visiting (or you?ll spend most of the day in bus stops!).
We recommend and we?ll stay there again!

If you can sleep on a freeway, than this place might work for you. For me it was a night of total sleep deprivation. LCD TV was nice, room was new but not particularly clean. Front desk was SLOW. Just not worth the money.
