This hotel was brand-new for the Olympics. Just around the corner from the church which houses the Shroud, it's in a great tourist location! We stayed just after it opened and can't recommend it highly enough, especially at a very reasonable rate, under 200 euros.

The entrance hall is a beautiful red-orange open space with a ramped staircase hugging the wall and the whole hotel is arranged around an interior courtyard. The rooms were beautiful, if simply decorated—a very contemporary feel, almost boutique-y, with a lovely bed, flatscreen television, and simple oak closet unit. There was a full minibar and room service available (limited hours).

The downstairs bar has a very nice collection of art books and a couple of very pleasant bartenders. The breakfast (included in our rate) was stellar—excellent meat and cheese choices alongside freshly prepared eggs and breakfast staples. The juices all seemed fresh and incredibly tasty.

There's a spa with hammam; although we didn't get a chance to try this out during our time here, we definitely will next time. I would definitely recommend this hotel to couples looking for a getaway. Although there wasn't much of a family presence there when we were there, I'm sure that older children would be welcomed as well.
