Beautiful Lakeside Hotel Feels Like a Resort

Not all of us have a cabin on Payette Lake, so its nice to know that Shore Lodge is back. This has been a favorite family getaway hotel in Idaho since 1948. It underwent a complete renovation as part of Whitetail Club in the late 90s, but the lodge just changed ownership in 2008 and is back to the friendly, comfortable and scenic vacation destination we remember.

The views are gorgeous across the lake with the surrounding mountains in the background. In winter its a fun place to stay for a ski vacation at Brundage - just 5 miles up the road. Summer and fall are beautiful in McCall, so we have gone up there in the past and lounged by the pool and on the private beach between hikes, fishing trips and boat rides. Some of our friends have gone to weddings there too - all their ballrooms have huge windows overlooking the lake.

Rooms are very big and beautifully appointed. Most have separate sitting areas, big bathrooms with marble counters and patios overlooking the lake. The lobby has a big fireplace to warm up by and Narrows Restaurant and the lounge have excellent food.
