Dar el Khamlia, Guesthouse in Erg Chebbi

The guesthouse is located in village Ksar Khamlia near Merzouga (35km from Rissani). We found that on Internet and without to book we were going there. It was in a private house such authentic typical Moroccan house. We liked that directly. It was in one edge of the village with nice view over Erg Chebbi on one site and other site over the village.
From the house come out one man with turban for to welcome us and invite us to drink a little Berber tea. Not mint tea because mint tea is for to drink in summer, not in winter. Inside the house was a little patio Spartan furnished with nice decoration. The room was really nice, blue one - the bed and wardrobe and curtain. And the sky.
I was going to the bathroom to take a look and it was nice surprising, it was really nice, as at home.
We packed up and then went to look how it looks around. It was not big, only three rooms there, kitchen and living room. But everything was really clean and nice decorated. We were sitting on the floor because it is traditional to sit on the floor with pillow behind the back. It was nice and comfortable actually.
We stayed there three nights but one of this night we sleep in the desert in sand dunes.
They had a tent there and we were going by camels. Come just in right second to watch the sunset, it was marvellous. We become dinners cooked in tagine and after we drank "Berber" whisky again and told about everything "possible and unpossible". On the morning we watch sunrise and were going back to the hotel there we had breakfast and took shower.
They took really car of us, food was very good and tasty, breakfast with crepes and eggs and omelette. They took us around to show all interesting as lake (salt) with flamingos (not so much but...) and other bird. We sew a mineral mine M´Fis and other.
We were completely satisfied with everything, the place, the people and the "staff" - it was family. Such accommodation I wish to find on more places. It was much better than to be in the hotel, to be only "room number..." and with many other people around.
