Great Place to Stay and Get Seasonal Work

Having searched the internet to find some fruit picking work whilst traveling round New Zealand I came across Bell Lodge advertising for seasonal work coming up. I called them to enquire more and Rick was really informative. I actually thought for a bit Rick did not want me to stay at his place because he was saying that although they have been asked by their contractors to find workers to start around the 14th - 15 March he would not guarantee any position and explained why. Weather, mother nature and the obvious I guess that not all the contractors rely exclusively on Bell Lodge to supply workers.

I have been here 3 days now and each day Rick or Sheree will keep me and the others as up to date as they can. I think I would have no problem if they told me that the work has been delayed because they do seem to be genuine and honest in setting up work for people.

I will write a little more in the future as I haven't experienced the full deal here but first opinions count in my mind and so far Bell Lodge is fantastic.

I have been here now 4 weeks and whilst I really wanted to do kiwi fruit picking, it really hasn't happened, so Rick & Sheree have found me work at a family business where we work 5 days a week rain or shine. Rick & Sheree have been really helpful and everyone here agrees they have been up front about whats happening with work.
